Welcome to the web portal for the project: Formulation of Geothermal Energy Policy and Law in Uganda. The portal has been created as a source of information about the project and geothermal energy technology in general.

The technical assistance project has been sponsored by the CTCN, and implemented by a team led by Carbon Counts. The team worked closely with the Geothermal Resources Department at the Ministry of Energy and Minerals Development, Uganda, as well as a range of other Ministries, Departments, Directorates and other stakeholders. The main outputs of the project are a draft Geothermal Resources Policy and a draft Geothermal Resources Act.
